Ensure Zenly Always has Access to Your Location
For your friends to see your constant real-time position, Zenly needs permission to access your location even when the app is closed. So, please, enable the location option ‘Always‘ when prompted or head to your phone’s settings to enable it manually.
Disable Low Power Mode
If enabled, low power mode can prevent Zenly from running in the background which means your location will only be updated for your friends when you open the app.
‘Settings‘ > ‘Battery‘ > ensure ‘Low Power Mode‘ is disabled
Enable Background App Refresh
If enabled, background app refresh can prevent Zenly from running in the background on your phone, resulting in your location only updating for your friends when zenly is opened.
‘Settings‘ > ‘General‘ > and verify ‘Background App Refresh‘ is enabled
Enable Location Services
Perhaps goes without saying, but for Zenly to share your constant real-time location with your friends, location services must always be enabled for Zenly within your phone’s settings.
‘Settings‘ > ‘Privacy‘ > and verify ‘Location Services‘ are enabled
Also, ensure that you haven't disabled location services for zenly specifically:
‘Settings‘ > ‘Privacy‘ > scroll down to ‘Zenly‘ and ensure ‘Location Services‘ is enabled
Ensure that You Have a Strong, Active Connection, Either WiFi or 4G/5G
This will ensure your friends can see your constant real-time location on Zenly and that you can also see theirs in return.
Enable WiFi
