Your location isn’t updating correctly? Maybe your friends only see your real-time location when you have Zenly open? If so, it sounds like battery/data-saving settings are enabled on your device, preventing Zenly from running correctly in the background.
Run through the following steps to ensure that battery-saving settings are disabled. The wording of the settings below can differ slightly depending on your device, so keep your eyes peeled for anything similar! 👀
Android 8, Android 9, Android 10
‘Settings‘ > ‘Battery‘ > ‘App Launch‘ > disable ‘Manage Automatically‘ for Zenly. It should then show ‘Manage Manually‘ with 3 options enabled. Keep them enabled, just tap ‘OK‘ 👍
Android 7
‘Battery‘ > ‘Close Apps after Screen Lock‘ > ‘Zenly: Off‘
‘Battery‘ > ‘Optimize‘ > ‘XX Apps are Running When the Screen is Off‘ > ‘Close to Save Battery Power‘ > ‘Zenly‘ > ‘Close After Screen Locked: Off‘
