Ensure Zenly always has access to your location
So, for your friends to see your live position all the time, Zenly needs permission to access your location even when closed. Therefore, it's essential to enable the location option "Always" when prompted or manually from your phone's settings. Apple introduced this setting with the release of iOS13.
Disable Low Power Mode 🔋
If enabled, these settings can prevent Zenly from running in the background. Therefore, your location will only be updated for your friends when you open the application.
To check, go to Settings > Battery > and verify that Low Power Mode is disabled.
Enable Background App Refresh 🔄
If enabled, these settings can prevent Zenly from running in the background. Therefore, your location will only be updated for your friends when you open the application.
To check, go to Settings > General > and verify that the option Background App Refresh is enabled.
Enable Location Services 🗺
Location services must always be enabled for Zenly to acquire your position.
To check, go to Settings > Privacy > and verify that Location Services are enabled.
Also, ensure that you haven't disabled Location Services for Zenly specifically. To check, Settings > Privacy > scroll down to Zenly and ensure that Location Services are enabled.
Ensure that you have a strong, active connection, either WiFi or 3G/4G 📶
Zenly requires access to a constant active connection to locate your position, to send your location to your friends, and receive the location of your friends.
Enable WiFi
Enabling WiFi on your device even when not connected to an active connection can significantly improve location accuracy.
